Seeking an individual to join our team in a busy medical office . This special candidate will act as a liaison between hospitals, health care providers, health plans, patients, or other referral sources.

Job Responsibilities Include:

Verifying insurance coverage and obtaining authorizations if needed from insurance providers.

Entering referrals and documenting communications, actions, and other data in an EMR.

Scheduling patient appointments

Notifying referring practice of the patients appointment

Qualifications:

The candidate will demonstrate superior interpersonal skills in all interactions.

1 year experience with manual insurance verification.

High school diploma

Knowledge of medical office software or EMR/EHR is preferred - eClinicalWorks

Requires understanding of CPT and ICD10- CM coding processes.

Requires excellent verbal communication skills.

Must be able to work with changing priorities.

Requires excellent organizational, problem solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
